It's a blog where I can post about whatever the hell I want. This usually consists of Beer, Movie, and Video Game reviews with a hint of Politics and a splash of Alton Brown.
I just got back from a business trip to New Hampshire where I was being trained on a product that I most likely will not be touching for the next 6 months. The best part: I am not going to pay a dime for the whole excursion.

Maybe not. From what I've read, she represents a lot the ideals of the Republican party. She's fiscally and socially conservative (including pro-life and anti-gay marriage). She's willing to drill Alaska for oil. She supports the military (her oldest son's going to Iraq). She has a really high approval rating in Alaska, and she's previously unaffiliated with Washington politics. On top of all that, she's now the only woman in the race, as well as the only person in this race with Executive experience as opposed to Legislative.
This isn't going to sway people like you and me into voting for McCain, but it's really going to help cement the Republican voters who weren't too sure about him, and they represent a sizable portion of the US.
On the other hand, she's only been the governor for 19 months, and I hear she's already under investigation for trying to get her ex-brother-in-law fired. She also doesn't help the McCain campaign's current tactic of saying that Obama is too inexperienced to lead.
I can't wait to watch the VP debate between her and Joe Biden. top

I don't think so.
McCain used to be moderate. He used to be pro-choice. He was for gay-marriage. All the people hoping that he was just pandering to get into office before he goes back to what he believes, this proves he isn't turning back. Moderate voters are gone.
Beyond her inexperience, the McCain campaign had a massive opportunity to seize the disenfranchised Hillary supporters; all 18 million of them. Every woman that I have talked to about this is literally offended by McCain's choice of Palin. If he wanted a woman as his running mate, there are other choices in Congress, ones with experience.
Also, Executive Experience? You can't translate her business experience to being able to lead the United States. The last time that was tried, we ended up with a horse rancher running FEMA and the New Orleans debacle.
Finally, Biden will eat her alive during the VP debate. I expect it to be embarrassing.
I just don't see how McCain has a chance in hell now. top
